What it analyzes, and why each one changes the answer
Most beauty advice is written for nobody in particular. These are the three things that decide what suits you, and it reads or asks for all of them rather than guessing.
Your face
Face shape, eye shape and what your brows are actually doing today. It changes where blush sits and where an arch should peak, and close to nothing else. We say that plainly rather than overselling it.
Your complexion
Depth and undertone, asked separately, because they are separate. Two people at the same depth with different undertones need completely different foundation lines. Warm, cool, neutral and olive, which most ranges leave out.
What you already tried
Saved routines and scans, so the next one has something to be compared against. This is the part no amount of good advice can replace, and the only part that needs an account.
It shows you, on your own face
Video tutorials run at the demonstrator's pace, on the demonstrator's face. So you rewind, and the person you are rewinding does not have your features. This is the same thing drawn instead, at your pace, on a face shaped like yours.

Six weeks later is the only real test
A photo scan on its own is a snapshot. Two of them, six weeks apart, is the only way to know whether anything changed. Scan, keep it, come back, scan again, and the two readings are shown against each other rather than remembered vaguely.
It reads what is visible
Curl pattern, strand thickness, tone depth, visible dryness or marks. It says plainly what a photograph cannot tell it, and it diagnoses nothing.
Nothing is kept unless you ask
Photo checks happen in your browser. An image is only sent when you press analyze, and only stored if you turn that on.
